He only lacks stamina due to his old age and cannot hold a fight very long, although the definition of "long" is pretty much left to debate.
While he was not the close-combat specialist in the commando team he belonged in the past, he is still considered to be at least at "Jäger unit" level... Enough for him to serve as an occasional bodyguard for the World Federation President.
Walter mostly fought with an assault rifle or sniper rifle at long-range distance in his years working for the IBOCR and during the Second War. His aura skills are based on perfect aim.
However he rarely carries his sniper rifle with him and will mostly uses the IBOCR's service gun.
He keeps his black sunglasses with him, as they have the function to display aura signature (thermal detection).

Walter possesses very strong aura abilities, the more continuous he uses his aura skills, the more he tires his body who can't keep on very long - but this is far enough to get the job done.
Walter specializes in ice-related aura, which is a relatively rare ability as aura usually generates heat.
He would need some rest (around 1-3 days, depending how much aura he had spent) before being able to activate his aura skills again.

Silver haze (active): He can project his aura around him which shapes as a silver haze. The haze can either slows those who possess aura and resists it, or simply freezes any movements for those who can't, which would be perceived by a normal human as fear.
Burning silver flames (Visible pyrokinesis, active): His aura takes the physical form of silver flames. Ironically, hot flames with silver-white color.
