Story Change and Concept Development

In the third week, our story changed completely. We were given a clearer structure that the story must include an egg, a character emerging from it, a buddy, a mission and an obstacle. This meant that we had to rethink everything from the beginning.

New story :

The egg is on the tree and fall on the ground the egg gets crack then the crocodile fall out from the egg and then that croco met bee then the story continues an egg falls from a tree and rolls on the ground and breaks. then it cracks open and an alien comes out and it has a crocodile face. then he meets and makes a friend who is a little bee. now the desire of our protagonist alien is to get a girl that he likes and the obstacle is her bf. they both will be humans. so now this bee is going to help the crocodile get the girl so I was thinking like first the bee will go and get a flower and give it to the croco and encourage him to give it to the girl but her bf will kick crocs out, croco will fall down then next scene he bee will bite the man and his face will swell up, and he will run away. now the bee willl give a bow to the croco and a hat he will put all of it maybe we can show him brushing his teeth he will look good and then go to the girl, the girl will be impressed and they will make a nice couple.

As a group, we worked on creating a new storyboard and redefining our elements. I contributed in restructuring the narrative and thinking about how the sequence of events would unfold visually. We also changed our style to better suit the new story requirements. This involved redesigning elements and reconsidering how we wanted the final output to look.

I mounted the characters on OHP sheet and also attached and made the joints for each character that was movable.

We initially made a simple tree but then we were asked to redo it and we made a much more detailed tree.

This phase required a lot of collaboration because we had to let go of our previous ideas and agree on a completely new direction. There were moments of confusion, but discussing and building on each other’s ideas helped us move forward.
