Although much of a gathering is spontaneous fabulousness, there are key teams of volunteers that provide things like food preparation, decoration, access needs and welfare. Volunteering together is a great way to build friendships and to show your love and appreciation for the Faerie community. You can step up for many of these roles on the booking form.
The kitchen volunteers keep the gathering fed by cooking lunch and dinner at the gathering. The team comprise a Kitchen Oddess (or two) who come up with a meal plan, and a team of kitchen helpers to chop, bake and stir! Cooking together is a great communal activity and a lot of fun!

The Welfaeries are a volunteer team that look after wellbeing at the gathering. They offer comfort to Faeries in need of emotional support and look after Faeries with access and mobility needs.
This is a great team for compassionate Fae. You can step up for the Welfaeries on the booking form.
For many Faeries, dressing up/drag is an important part of a gathering - a place to experiment with clothing, costumes, make-up and self-expression, outside the norms of default society. There is a space at the gathering that will be stocked with clothing & accessories from members of our community.
Please bring any clothing, costumes, make-up, jewellery you are happy to contribute to this space, we welcome donations to be used at this and future gatherings, as well as temporary loans you would love to share at this gathering only, we will have a system to make sure we know which items are on single-gathering loan only, such as a golden safety pin in the garment.
The Dress-up Space requires a team of Faeries to set it up, keep it tidy and take it down at the end of the event. You can volunteer for this team on the booking form.
The Soft Space is a dynamic and fluid sensory play space at Summer Transcendence. The Soft Space will be a soft, playful, squishy space, maybe there is intimacy and touch, but it is not exclusively for this nor expected to be so.
It is a play space that welcomes faeries regardless of age, gender-identity, sexuality or anatomy. It will be opened with a ceremony to introduce this new approach to the space, the concept of boundaries & consent, and help break the ice if you’re feeling timid or nervous.

Events and ritual are the beating-heart of gatherings. This team manage traditional events such as the No Talent Show and Fae Auction, along with rituals such as the opening and closing ceremonies.
This is a great team for queer performers, creative spectaculars and sacred magic weavers! You can step up for this role on the booking form.
The Sparkle Faeries are in charge of keeping the bathrooms.. well… sparkling! They ensure that each room is clean and well supplied with handwash and loo roll!
