Game Plan

We need to revitalize our setup for infrastructure that runs Veloren services. Currently, we have our services distributed over many computers in a non-replicable way. This push towards a dedicated server will also work towards improving our infrastructure provisioning techniques.

Although we don't need to rehost all of our services on this new instance, many of them would do well to be hosted on common infrastructure. This would also remove the question if we should run something that a contributor would have to donate their own compute power for. Further, this would help reduce some costs from our servers on Digital Ocean. Here is a list of what we are currently running:


Note: This is not to suggest that the game server is going to move over to the new server, but rather that there is a lot that we have that isn't managed very well right now.
