Ingredients
For cleaning vazhapoo
- 1 small Banana flower
- 1 cup buttermilk + water (for soaking)
For fried rice
- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably cooled or leftover rice)
- 1 to 1½ cups cleaned and finely chopped vazhapoo
- 1 tbsp oil
- 4–5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1–2 green or red chillies
- ¼ cup carrot, cabbage & capsicum
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Schezwan sauce
- 1 tsp pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- Curry leaves
Instructions
Step 1 – Clean the vazhapoo
- Remove the purple petals one by one.
- Inside each layer, remove the hard stamen and thin plastic-like petal from every floret.
