Vacation is an important time to rest and recover, allowing you to be more efficient during the rest of the year. So don't fall for the temptation to use it to catch up with your work.

Also be aware that you are not covered by Chalmers insurance if you work when you have the vacation.

Plan your vacation together with your supervisor and manager, so that you have enough time to rest.

If you still have vacation days left when your employment ends, you are entitled to be compensated for these saved vacation days.

Your vacation entitlement is as follows:

• 28 days until and including the year in which you turn 29 years old
• 31 days from and including the year in which you turn 30 years old
• 35 days from and including the year in which you turn 40 years old

Important: if you get sick during vacations, you get your days back! Just provide a doctor certificate if it’s more than 1 day.
