Objective
Capture the best current understanding of the office VPN and Remote Desktop setup as of April 4, 2026, without storing secrets.
Best Current Read
- The strongest working reference is the wife's Windows laptop.
- Working VPN name:
Aguiar Plantside VPN
- VPN server/address:
louisville-plantside-gkpcrngvpq.dynamic-m.com
- VPN type:
L2TP/IPsec
- Sign-in type: username and password
- Expected office PC target remains
AL0082-SAguiar
- Internal machine references also point to
192.168.8.160 and AL0082-SAGUIAR.corp.kylawoffice.com
Evidence Gathered
- Outlook ticket
#1405 from Zazz on December 18-19, 2025 gave user-specific Mac instructions for built-in L2TP over IPSec and later confirmed the Remote Desktop target was AL0082-SAguiar.
- Teams on February 15, 2026 shows the Mac VPN had still not been made to work, and there had also been failed Remote Desktop attempts from the Mac and from Windows via Parallels.
- Teams on March 16, 2026 shows the office still had active VPN or Meraki issues affecting remote access to office resources.
- The Notion runbook updated on April 4, 2026 points to the Louisville Plantside Meraki path and says the offsite workflow is VPN first, then RDP to
192.168.8.160 or AL0082-SAGUIAR.
- The local RDP shortcut in Downloads points to
AL0082-SAguiar and does not use an RD Gateway.
Main Conflict
- The older Zazz Outlook thread referenced an earlier raw-IP VPN endpoint.
- The newer Notion runbook and the wife's working Windows laptop both point to
louisville-plantside-gkpcrngvpq.dynamic-m.com.
- Best inference: the Louisville Plantside hostname is the current endpoint, and the older raw IP is likely stale or superseded.
