Hatchling - Tiny plant insect creatures with few humanoid features incapable of moving around.

Nymph - Young plant-insect creatures with few humanoid features capable of moving and feeding. They primarily rely on instinct at this stage.

Instar - Adolescent plant-insect creatures with strong humanoid features - varied levels of insect features are retained as they begin to molt and rapidly develop a thoughtful intellect.

Chrysalis- The body has been sealed over with a smooth covering and humanoid features are very dominant, rarely do any significant insect features persist through this stage. They spend most of their time learning, thinking, and integrating information through a quantum link between their consciousness and the universal substrate.

Imago - Powerful humanoid-plant-insect hybrids capable of summoning new life at will. Hatchlings seem to spawn from them spontaneously and in accordance with their mood. They no longer actively think, but exist in a state of presence in full coordination with the universal substrate. Often capable of flying and/or casting intention through the earth to enact their will.
