Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help us save time, improve efficiency and support our work. However, AI must be used responsibly, safely and professionally. This policy outlines how all staff should use AI within the organisation.

Our Principles

AI is a tool to support professional judgement, not replace it. Staff remain responsible for all work produced using AI.

When using AI:

• Always check the accuracy of information before using or sharing it.
• Use AI to assist your work, not to make decisions on your behalf.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect personal information at all times.
• Follow safeguarding, data protection and GDPR requirements.

Accuracy and Reliability

AI can produce incorrect, outdated or misleading information, even when it appears convincing.

Staff must:

• Check all facts, figures, quotations and references before use.
• Verify important information using trusted sources.
• Review and edit AI-generated content before sharing it with colleagues, parents, professionals or external organisations.
• Never copy and paste AI-generated content without checking it first.
