How


  1. Pick the prototype to test. (or Can pick Competitors product that might help users accomplish their goals.)
  2. Plan the test - with the use of a Research-planning meeting, align on the scenarios the test will center around, which users should participate (and how you’ll recruit them), and which members of the team will moderate and observe.
  3. Prepare Test Script. Prepare list of Scenarios & Tasks.
  4. Recruit Users.
  5. Run Tests. Moderator talks to tester & instructs them. Observers watch & contribute to Rolling Issue Log

  1. Discuss the Results with a 90-minute collaborative synthesis meeting to discuss issues we observed, and any questions these tests raise concerning user needs. Create a summary of findings. Eg-
