The main purpose of the “Product Analyzer” page is to serve people who are particular about the ingredients that go into their food/body etc., allowing them to find out if a product is a good fit for them or not.

(this comes from the third point that CountOn wants us to think of)

Before the test

  1. Briefly explain that we are going to ask participants to complete 3 tasks on a product analysis website and this is no a test, there’s no right or wrong answer
  2. Explain and demonstrate how participants can “Think Aloud” while doing the task (so that we know what they are really thinking while they interact with the website)
  3. Ask participants to think of a personal care product that they recently buy or wanted to buy and be ready to copy and paste a url that sell that particular product

During the test

Task 1 Try to think of a personal product you have been using, find the website you to the product and copy/paste to CountOn. What do you think about the results that the product analyzer gives you?

Task 2 Imagine you heard a product from your friend and you want to learn more about the details, you cannot use a url this time (have them to try out enter product details manually)

Task 3 Imagine you are shopping for a new product and are considering two different brands. Compare two similar products based on their ingredients and expert opinion

→ After each task: Ask them follow up questions, such as, why they did this and did that? How can the XYZ experience be better? What they found easy or difficult? Were there any features they found confusing?

After the test

  1. Demographic questions
  2. Ask them for their overall impression of the website / experience using the website
