Leave No One Behind (LNOB) Initiative & Inclusive Research on Disability Data in Indonesia

Objective

To strengthen the United Nations’ mission to Leave No One Behind by developing inclusive data strategies and tools that empower persons with disabilities and improve evidence-based policymaking in Indonesia.

This initiative integrates:

A. Leave No One Behind (LNOB) Project — Policy & Collaboration Framework

Problem

People with disabilities in Indonesia remain underrepresented in national data systems, resulting in limited access to inclusive public services and policy visibility. Existing data frameworks were fragmented, inconsistent, and lacked inter-agency coordination across the UN network.

Process

  1. Define Objective & Alignment: Collaborated with UN Country Team to integrate LNOB into the UN Data Strategy for Indonesia.
  2. Data Mapping & Stakeholder Engagement: Identified key data sources and policy actors within UN agencies and the Government of Indonesia.
  3. Framework Design: Proposed a collaborative data-sharing model to connect disability-related data across agencies.
  4. Capacity Building: Supported workshops with UN agencies and partners on inclusive data collection and usage.
  5. Policy Alignment: Ensured LNOB outputs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and national disability inclusion frameworks.
