Terms of Service
Last Updated: February 27, 2026
DISCLAIMER: UniTee is an independent student project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Nazarbayev University.
Please read this Terms of Service agreement carefully. This is a legal agreement between you and Ulykbek Khairulla (“Operator”, “we”, or “us”) regarding your use of the UniTee mobile application and its associated services (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- You are at least eighteen (18) years of age. The Service is strictly intended for users 18 and older.
- You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE.
1. Acceptance and Scope
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.
2. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Safety Policy
UniTee maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding objectionable content and abusive users. To ensure a safe community for all Nazarbayev University students, you agree to the following:
- 2.1 Zero Tolerance: There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. This includes, but is not limited to, content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, bigoted, obscene, pornographic, or promotes violence/illegal acts.
- 2.2 Reporting and Flagging: Users have access to built-in mechanisms to flag or report any content or user that violates these Terms. You may report a post or comment directly within the app using the "Report" feature.
- 2.3 Blocking: Users may block any other user at any time. Blocking a user immediately hides all of their past and future content from your view and prevents further interaction.
- 2.4 Immediate Content Removal: Users have the mechanism to immediately remove their own posts from the public feed. Additionally, users can "hide" individual posts from their own feed if they find them offensive.
- 2.5 Developer Action (The 24-Hour Rule): We are committed to maintaining a safe environment. The Operator will act on reported objectionable content or abusive behavior within 24 hours. This action includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the offending content and the immediate ejection (permanent ban) of the user who provided the content.
