Based on your use of the Service, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your university email address (e.g., name.surname@nu.edu.kz) and password.
• Profile Information: You may provide additional information such as a username, full name, and profile picture (avatar).
• User-Generated Content (UGC): We collect and store the posts, comments, votes, and images you voluntarily upload to the Service.
• Technical Data: We automatically collect certain technical information for security and performance monitoring, including your IP address, device model, and operating system version.
• Push Notification Data: If you opt-in, we collect a unique device token (e.g., Expo Push Token) to send you relevant updates and notifications.

2. Permissions and Device Access

The Service requires the following permissions to function correctly:

• Camera & Photo Library: Accessed only when you explicitly choose to upload a profile picture or post content.
• Notifications: Used to provide real-time updates on your community interactions.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Service Provision: To provide and maintain the social networking features of UniTee.
• Identity Verification: To verify your status as a student or affiliate of Nazarbayev University.
• Safety and Moderation: To monitor and act upon reports of objectionable content or abusive behavior. Reports and moderation actions (such as bans) are stored to ensure community safety.
• Error Reporting: We use third-party services like Sentry to track and resolve technical issues and crashes.
