Create an account on the IRS Link & Learn Taxes site. Complete the Volunteer Standards of Conduct (VSOC) Test and the Intake / Interview and Quality Review Test. See the Getting Started Tutorial for help navigating the site. The VSOC Training and Intake / Interview and Quality Review Training links on the right hand side help you learn the material for the certification tests. Sample tests are available at Certification Test/Retest PDFs. If you are an experienced tax preparer, you are welcome to also complete a tax certification during this step.
Upload your certificates from the IRS to CfA's records. This ensures GetYourRefund satisfies the basic IRS ethics requirements for volunteers and prepares you to help with the GetYourRefund project. This step will also request your access to The Hub.
