HR For Ukraine
đź’ł Paying people
Western Union + Transfer wise has stopped working in Ukraine.
- Try contacting Employers of Record like Deel etc.
- Looks like **Wise** still works or maybe only for personal transfers? They lifted the amounts from 200UAH to 2.500GBP/EUR/USD
- Crypto might be a last resort option, provided your people in Ukraine have the means to convert crypto into cash, if traditional payments infrastructure isn’t working anymore*
*not sure about the compliance & AML aspect, but setting that aside given the situation.
A normal crypto exchange like Coinbase should be sufficient, but there may be better ways to transfer with a crypto remittance business e.g. Circle who are behind one of the largest “stablecoins” on the market
🚆 Leaving Ukraine
- From Kyiv people can travel by train. Trains are there always, all the day. There are no exact schedule in order to make sure they are safe.
- UkraineNow help civilians in need of finding a car/rideshare/transport to get to safer places with safe co-riders
- No visa required to pass through the Polish border or Estonian border
- Czech Railways (Ceske drahy) made it possible for Ukrainians to travel in their trains for free, effective immediately. The only thing you need is a Ukrainian passport.
- All COVID-related limitations for people who enter Czech Republic from Ukraine have been lifted.
🏡 Finding Support
- Using the bot @shelter_for_ukrainians_bot on Telegram people can find shelter/home in Lviv. The bot is created by Lviv authorities.
- Free services (lawyers, social support, material aid) Also if people need advice on how to travel legally, bring their families here, they can call them too
- This online platform puts in contact locals in western Ukraine and refugees fleeing the war, in search of housing.
🧠Psychological support
- To get psychological support as a Ukrainian citizen, please fill this form
- Check in on wellbeing with your people even if they’re not Ukrainian. You never know how such events may affect people.
