About ubbu ubbu (ubbu.io) is a Lisbon-based edtech platform that teaches children aged 6–12 how to code through game-based lessons. Built around a year-by-year STEAM curriculum with 100+ lessons and challenges, every lesson is tied to one of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The platform serves both schools and families, is available in four languages, and is used by thousands of students daily across 20+ countries. Independent studies have shown measurable impact on students' logical thinking, problem-solving, and academic performance.

Role at a Glance

What You'll Do

• Translate briefs and user problems into clean, considered designs under guidance
• Work closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented as intended
• Contribute to and learn from the design system
• Iterate quickly based on feedback and communicate progress clearly
• Develop an eye for the visual language of the product
• Explore AI-assisted design tools as part of your day-to-day workflow

Who We're Looking For

• A good eye for visual craft, detail, and consistency
• Portfolio showing UX and UI work, personal or professional
• Eager to learn and comfortable working in a fast-moving, feedback-driven environment
• Interested in how design and engineering connect
• Open to exploring AI design tooling
• Clear communicator who takes direction well and asks good questions
• A genuine interest in education and building products that matter
