About Me

I am a teacher of Ukrainian and English who is now making a career switch into UX design - a goal I’ve carried for years but only recently found the courage to pursue. For a long time, I had doubts and biases about whether I could fit into this field, but eventually I decided to take the leap. I chose UX because I believe my natural strengths make me a good fit: empathy, deep thinking, attention to detail, strong communication, curiosity, adaptability, and problem-solving.

Outside of work, I enjoy learning languages — at the moment, I’m diving into Spanish. I also stay active with sports like volleyball, gym training, and table tennis. This summer I discovered a love for swimming and snorkeling, which opened up a new way for me to connect with nature and challenge myself. I believe that these interests reflect the same qualities I bring to design: curiosity, perseverance, and a drive to keep improving.

</aside>

As an aspiring UX designer with a passion for travel, I turned my learnings from the UX Design Institute into a case study designing a hotel booking website. I explored real traveler pain points, iterated through sketches and prototypes, and crafted an experience that makes booking simple, clear, and trustworthy. This project showcases not just my designs, but my approach to solving real user problems: keeping users at the center of every decision, validating ideas through research and testing, and iterating solutions based on real feedback to create intuitive, reliable experiences.

This is just the beginning of my journey as a UX designer. I’m discovering how much I enjoy creating user-centered experiences, and I’m actively learning and practicing every day—through courses, tutorials, hands-on projects, and of course, watching far too many YouTube videos. With each step, I’m expanding my knowledge, refining my skills, and growing more confident in my ability to design meaningful solutions. I’m excited to keep experimenting, learning, and taking on new challenges as I continue to develop as a designer.
