Scope

Validated the May 5, 2026 UPS staging manifest against the older UPS PDF repositories under V:\z-UPS Flight 2976 Cases.

Result

This was a read-only pass. No files were moved, renamed, deleted, or converted.

The older UPS PDF project exists, but it was not completed in the later copy-back model. Same-name sibling PDFs beside the original email paths: 0 of 1863.

Key findings

• Extracted_Nested: 172 of 172 rows in each tree have repository candidates.
• Original502 Direct: 484 of 502 rows in each tree have repository candidates.
• Extracted_Attachments: 116 of 195 rows in each tree currently show no_repo_match.
• EMAILS Root: 7 of 61 rows in each tree currently show no_repo_match.
• Investigation Response Folder: 3 of 3 rows currently show no_repo_match.

A major source of ambiguity is duplicate naming inside the old PDF repositories. Example: the Original502 PDF lanes each contain 708 PDFs but only 326 distinct normalized topic keys.
