9/17 Updated: concept prototype testing - peer feedback

The purpose of this workshop

is to focus on the prototype experience, offering students the opportunity to slow down and navigate the complex process of transforming their thesis ideas into tangible prototypes. Recognizing that each project is unique, given the diverse domains students are working within, and that this stage of the thesis process can be particularly perplexing and overwhelming, the goal is to offer individual support on crafting ideas and prototypes through in-class work. This will help students better digest the complex and multilayered creative processes embedded in the course materials.

The approach also emphasizes that failures are not setbacks but essential learning experiences—especially when they occur early in the process. By embracing this mindset, students can gain clarity, confidence, and resilience in their projects. This method is designed to foster a more supportive and reflective environment during this critical phase of the thesis process.

Gather Research Data and Practices Relevant to your project: contextualization process.

Continue conducting research or creative research on relevant subjects and topics to bridge the gap between your initial idea and the development of your concept statement. This will strengthen your design argument by providing a solid background, clear purpose, and defined interaction values, effectively conveying your concept. And for your interactive prototype
