<aside> ℹ️ Black History Month is a time to reflect on the diverse histories of those of African and Caribbean descent, taking note of the achievements and contributions to the social, political, economic and cultural development of the UK.

Black History Month is a time to come together and hopefully learn lessons for the present and the future. It’s a time to honour the commitment to learning and standing united against racism. It’s a time to reclaim history and re-imagine how our shared history will be told in the future.

Why it matters

A continued engagement with history is vital as it helps give context for the present. We're not born equal in opportunities.

Black History Month exists to remind us that to drive change we must learn about and learn from the history of systemised abomination, oppression and marginalisation.

It is an opportunity to understand black histories, challenge stereotypes and go beyond stories of racism to spotlight and celebrate achievements of people racialised as black.

📚 Share nudges in #learning-and-development

<aside> ℹ️ Every Monday throughout October, we'll ask everyone to share thought-sparking nudges in #learning-and-development ✨

Our UK Black History Month work is a catalyst to raise awareness, learn about the black community and celebrate their achievements.

It exists to help us know, understand, learn from a history of systemised abomination, oppression and marginalisation that led to black figures not being as represented, recognised and celebrated as they deserve.

Our goal is to build new habits that last, not to share content for 4 weeks which will too likely be forgotten across the rest of the year.

That's why we'll share reflective questions and ask YOU to share learnings and stories 😉

Thought-spark after thought-spark, learning after learning, we'll collectively know better and do better. So we can drive change.

This is why we are putting a strong focus on sharing resources and enabling conversation.

Spark progress across each of us, through learning and fostering a more inclusive environment, where everyone is invited to dance and each achievement is celebrated. ****

Spark progress across all our client companies, through learning content, newsletter newsletters, and practical advice, so that learnings keep on sparking on.
