Forest conservation and restoration can play a significant role in sequestering carbon and conserving biodiversity. The Cambridge Centre for Carbon Credits (4C) at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory and the Cambridge Conservation Research Institute uses techniques from computer science, econometrics and remote sensing to radically increase the supply of highly credible carbon credits from natural climate solutions. Our research addresses novel approaches for forest inventory and cloud-based analysis of earth observation data.
