A system for athletes to achieve their goals.
Why the power of dedication is so important for athletes:
So many winning moments are inspired by the power of dedication.
Think of Alexandr Usyk dedicating his victory over Anthony Joshua to his country of Ukraine
Katie Boulter dedicated a stunning Wimbledon win to her grandmother that passed 2 days earlier.
South African rugby team were asked to write the names of all those who supported them before the world cup final.
When we dedicate something to someone (e.g. grieving a lost family or friend) or something (e.g. religion), we become energised by something much bigger than ourselves.
It’s the same principle as to why we get so passionate about playing for your country. Because you represent something greater than yourself.
And this is where it gets interesting.
Essentially what is happening is we are moving from a place of Me to We.
What it helps us find is meaning to our lives.
It can help us reframe, and reshape how we see circumstances.
