At Beatrust, we are always looking for ways to use technology to make things more convenient and easier to use.

One of the major issues with profile information is its difficulty to keep it up-to-date, and we wanted to this fundamental challenge. Our first version of Blue Whale is an engine that automatically extracts skills and experience from existing information and data, and is now ready for use!

Beatrust is proud to announce Automatic Tag Extractor by Blue Whale, the first feature to utilize Blue Whale. This feature is still in its infancy, but it will grow with data from our users. Go ahead, and try it out!

Reflect your latest interests and work on your profile

What we work on and what we're interested in (both publicly and privately) changes on a regular basis. Reflecting this information would make one's profile page "living information" about that person. The auto tag extraction function's aim is to do just that.

Whenever you feel like updating your profile or when you receive an email from Beatrust that nudges you to do just that, click the Edit button in the tags area of your profile page and the automatic tag extraction button will appear.

How Auto Tag Extraction works

The most relevant keywords are extracted through Beatrust's automatic extraction logic from the contents of URL, text data, or files uploaded by the user. This automatic extraction logic is called Blue Whale

As of October 2021, there are several constraints:

Story of Blue Whale

Blue Whale swallows data and spurts out tags.

Blue Whale swallows data and spurts out tags.

We originally had a nautical image from Trust Blue, our theme color and we frequently name functions after marine animals. This automatic tag extraction function, so to speak, swallows data and uses the whale's unique "baleen (a filter-feeding system inside the mouths of whales)" as a strainer to separate water (noisy data) from food (valuable data) and take in nutrition (update profile) - hence the name Blue Whale.

Please keep in mind however, that the accuracy of extraction is still at the level of a newborn, so we hope you can join us in the process of watching its growth and feed lots of data ☺️
