True Open in Quarterly Theory is the opening price of Q2 in every time cycle. Quarterly Theory divides time into repeating cycles (yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, sessions), each split into 4 quarters (Q1–Q4).
The True Open is always the start of Q2 - it serves as a powerful time-based filter to spot manipulation, fake reversals, Judas swings, and stop hunts.
We use them as the key level to define Premium and Discount zones.
Example: If we're bullish for the day – we wanna see manipulation below the True Open (that Judas Swing grabbing liquidity down there). If we're bearish – we wanna see manipulation above the True Open (fake pump, sweeping highs). That's it. True Open = equilibrium. Wrong-side manipulation for your bias? Probably stay out or flip the script. Mark these levels every day.
