Device received before June 1st, 2017:

My screen is flickering on and off.

If your screen is flickering on and off, your internet connection is not strong enough. If you are using an Ethernet connection, check to make sure the cable is firmly plugged in on both ends. If you are using a WiFi network, we recommend having a dedicated network specifically for your Actionfigure Screen — or switching to Ethernet if possible.

How do I switch between WiFi and Ethernet

The ideal way to have your Actionfigure Screen set up is with a dynamic Ethernet connection. We understand that this is not always possible, so WiFi or static Ethernet will work as well. You can switch between these options on your device by following these instructions:

  1. Attach a USB keyboard/mouse to the USB port on your Actionfigure Box and use it to navigate to the home screen. With a keyboard, you can press "esc." With a mouse, you can right-click.

  2. From there, you will want to select Settings, then go to Wireless and Networks. From here, you will want to make sure that whichever option you prefer is enabled and the other is disabled.

  3. If you are using WiFi, you should be able to select a network and enter the password. Make sure that all other network options in your building are disabled, pressing the Save button after toggling them off.

  4. If you are using static Ethernet, it will prompt you to enter the IP/Gateway/S/N Mask/DNS information. After entering all the information, make sure to hit the Save button at the bottom of the menu.

  5. Reboot your Screen by unplugging and plugging back in the power cord.

My WiFi password changed, and now I can't connect to the network.

  1. First, attach a USB keyboard/mouse to the USB keyboard on the Actionfigure Box and use it to navigate to the home screen. On a keyboard, you can press "esc." On a mouse, you can right-click.

  2. From there, you will want to select Settings and then Wi-Fi, making sure Ethernet is disabled. This should allow you to select the appropriate WiFi network and enter your new password.

  3. Reboot your Screen by unplugging and plugging back in the power cord.

How do I make sure a firewall isn't blocking my Actionfigure Screen?

If you are able to pull up your Screen URL on another device other than the Actionfigure Box itself, then the problem is likely a firewall. Firewalls are used on networks to prevent certain sites from coming through — if you have a particularly secure network, you may need to contact your network administrator to have them whitelist/unblock the ports/URLs listed below:

Ports 80 and 443 (HTTP and HTTPS)

Port 9494 (used by Cenique CDMS)

Port 9449 (used by Cenique CDMS)

http://cdms.cenique.com/cdms

https://cdms.cenique.com/cdms

MAC address (email [email protected] to receive your device's MAC address)

My screen is showing a loading icon with a yellow bar at the top.

If you are receiving a "waiting for network connection" message, this means the Actionfigure Box is not reaching our server. First, unplug and replug the device. If this does not solve the problem after a few minutes, here are a few things to check:

  1. Are you running on WiFi? If so, we recommend switching to an Ethernet connection. If this is not feasible, a dedicated WiFi network would be helpful. To make sure your Actionfigure Box is connected to the correct network, plug in any USB keyboard or mouse to access the settings page. Make sure WiFi is on and Ethernet is off. Click on WiFi to enable the wireless connection, select your network, and enter any password if required.

  2. Are you running on Ethernet? If so, plug in any USB keyboard or mouse to access the settings page. Make sure WiFi is off and Ethernet is on. Make sure your Ethernet cable is fully plugged in — to both the device and the power source.
