Impact Potential (1–5)
How strongly does this story demonstrate transformation?
- 5 — Clear, significant, human change. The before-and-after hits you in the chest.
- 3 — Change is there, but the narrative doesn't land as hard.
- 1 — Minimal or unclear transformation. Hard to feel the shift.
Uniqueness (1–5)
How different is this story from what you've already captured?
- 5 — Nothing like it in the pipeline. A fresh voice, a new angle, a perspective you haven't told before.
- 3 — Some overlap with existing stories, but distinct enough to stand on its own.
- 1 — Too similar to something already logged. Won't add much.
Ethical Clearance (1–5)
How clean is the consent and safeguarding situation?
- 5 — Full written consent. No vulnerability concerns. No complexity.
- 3 — Verbal consent only, or some safeguarding considerations to work through first.
- 1 — Significant concerns. Consent not secured. Subject may be in a vulnerable situation. Proceed with care.
Urgency (1–5)
Does this story need to go out soon?
- 5 — There's a deadline. A funding bid, a report, a campaign. It's needed within four weeks.
