Visa and Plaid's merger has been called off. It's just as well.

The 2020s have accelerated the Fintech secular trend, which is still in its early days. Plaid will look very different by 2030. In a binary view, it's either merged into a diworsification or it grows large.

Jim Cramer commented that "people don't care and will buy if it's a fintech". That leaves room for corrections but the secular trend remains intact. It's no different than any trend in its early days.
