Trauma-informed Teaching and Design Strategies: A New Paradigm - Bright Horizons Foundation

As poverty and violence in our communities increase, there are more and more children in schools and early childhood programs that display symptoms of toxic stress. As educators, we need to find ways we can support children and help them to build and develop important skills despite the hardships they have experienced. Teachers play an active role in helping young children practice the skills to provide them with a foundation that can lead to success later in life.
