WHAT WE COLLECT

• Camera images — Sent to OpenAI's API to identify your item. Not stored by us beyond the API call. • Scan history — Stored locally on your device only. Never uploaded or transmitted. • Feedback — If you submit feedback through the app, the text is sent to our server and forwarded to our team. No account or name is attached. • Anonymous usage analytics — We collect anonymous usage data (such as app opens, scans completed, and feature usage) to understand how the app is used and improve it. This is tied to a random anonymous device identifier — not your name, email, or any personal information.

HOW WE USE IT

We use image data solely to classify the item you scanned. Feedback and anonymous analytics are used to improve the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as described in this policy.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• OpenAI — Processes camera images for classification. See openai.com/privacy. • Supabase — Backend infrastructure for edge functions. See supabase.com/privacy. • PostHog — Anonymous product analytics. See posthog.com/privacy.

DATA RETENTION

Scan history lives on your device and can be deleted at any time from the Stats tab. Feedback submissions are retained for as long as needed to address your feedback, then deleted.

CHILDREN

TrashSort AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, you will be prompted to review and accept the updated policy before continuing to use the app.
