TradeBase connects tradespeople with customers. We respect your privacy. Our architecture relies heavily on Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to minimise the personal data we store on our own servers, prioritising your security.

We collect and process the following data types:
A. Information You Provide
- Account Data: Name, email address (via Apple/Google Sign-In), and profile photo.
- Marketplace Content:
- Customers: Job titles, descriptions, photos of repair sites, and location (City/Postcode).
- Tradespeople: Business name, bio, trade skills, certifications, and compliance documents (Public Liability Insurance/Guarantees).
- Communications: Messages and media sent via our in-app chat.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Location Data: We use
CoreLocation to facilitate local discovery. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.
- Device & Usage Data: Anonymous metrics on app performance and feature usage (e.g., screens visited) to improve stability.
3. How Your Data is Stored (CloudKit)
We use Apple iCloud (CloudKit) as our primary backend infrastructure.
- Public Data: Job posts, public profiles, and reviews are stored in a Public Database accessible to other users of the app. By posting, you acknowledge this information is public.
- Private Data: Your drafts, saved leads, and settings are stored in your Private Database, accessible only by you.
- Security: Your data is secured by Apple's encryption standards.
