Torso

Major Components:

  1. Chest: Support for electronics
  2. Shoulder: support for shoulder and orbita

As is specified in the Pollen Onshape drawings, the chest is intended to provide support for the electronics and also for the orbita and head. However, it was determined that an FDM-printed chest isn't able to provide such support.

Because of this, the torso evolved to use a set of 80/20 rails to provide strength and structure to the torso, as well as a frame to hold the electronics.

Some of the electronic mounting pieces were modified to fit with the 80/20 rails/brackets.

While the Pollen Reachy uses metal poles for supporting the torso within a setup, we instead added a baseplate to provide overall support.
