The goal of the toolkit is to develop resources and tools for the implementation of the UnBlocked Cash (UBC) program as well as the training materials.
The toolkit is addressed for the NGOs professionals tasked with designing and implementing the UnBlocked Cash program within the NGOs and partners’ programming.
Based on the UBC stakeholder matrix below, we can see that the audience for the toolkit includes three groups of stakeholders: implementing NGO, partners, and beneficiaries.
Therefore, the scope of the toolkit ranges from Program Design and Program Implementation, to Program Manual.

Program Design - based on Phase II timeline
Empathy
understanding someone’s joy, pain and anxieties without judging them.
Systems Thinking
breaking down different aspects of a context and being able to see relationships and dependencies
Making
converting thoughts into ideas, ideas into blueprints, and blueprints into concrete plans and real world objects and experiences
Experience Centred
thinking of solutions as end-to-end journeys that people go through, and a desire to elevate certain moments.
Participatory
including diverse opinions and skills in the process of identifying, building and assessing solutions.
Iterative
constantly improving solutions based on learning and insight accumulated at each stage.
Crucially, these methods were used to ideate, prototype and test the UnBlocked Cash during its phase I pilot in 2019. As such, this toolkit gathers the already accumulated knowledge and experiences, and organises it in a concise and compelling way.
