Toolio Retail Metrics Definitions

Accounting Types

Toolio supports all the traditional retail accounting methods, such as:

• retail , i.e. sales value
• cost
• units

Once the metrics are combined with the accounting method, the accounting method just gets appended to the metric name. For example, Markdownaccounted in retail becomes Markdown Retail and Gross Sales, accounted in units becomes Gross Sales Units.

Metric Ratios

For each of the metrics, Toolio also supports key-ratios between accounting methods, such as:

• AUC: cost / units - average unit cost
• AUR: retail / units - average unit retail
• Margin: (retail - cost) * units
• Margin %: 1 - cost / retail
