Tonemail is an AI-assisted email drafting application that helps users write emails using predefined tones such as professional, friendly, formal, and casual.

This project was initiated to explore how AI can be integrated into real, everyday workflows without overwhelming users or exposing technical complexity.

Why I Started This Project

While AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude are powerful, I noticed a consistent friction when using them for writing emails:

• I had to think about prompts, not the message
• Tone had to be explained repeatedly
• Outputs often needed rewriting
• The experience felt detached from actual email writing

This made me question:

If AI is supposed to save time, why does writing emails still feel mentally heavy?

Instead of designing another generic AI assistant, I wanted to explore a task-specific AI product focused on one thing done well: writing emails with the right tone.
