Tone

Dark

This is a story of resistance against monopoly and corruption—a tale where the light of justice is slowly drowned by endless darkness. The entire game should carry a dark tone. Players should feel, through the narrative, visual design, and music, the descent from a glamorous city to the bleak underbelly of a society riddled with betrayal. In the shadow of a vast cosmic wonder, only the elite bask in light and miracles, while ordinary people live their entire lives shrouded in the megastructure’s cast shadow, devoid of hope.

Despair

When the player loses all protection and finds themselves alone in a strange city, facing the entire world and the godlike creators of that world by themselves, a deep sense of helplessness should permeate every scene, cinematic, and musical note. Through every confrontation and dramatic beat, the player must feel small, vulnerable, and overwhelmed by despair.

Sacrifice

And yet, when everything seems destined, fixed, and impossible to change, it is time to gamble everything. As the player reaches the later chapters, weighed down by despair, they are invited to close their eyes and turn themselves into the fire. Their body, soul, and everything they have left must be offered for an unfinished cause. The NPCs who accompany them throughout the story will become the keys that unlock this final crescendo.

Hope

Like new shoots emerging after a storm, or green grass reborn from the ashes of fire, hope appears when darkness is at its deepest. The Deadeyes’, the Fluvinians, and many others serve as guiding lights in the player’s journey—a map etched in sacrifice. They embody hope through loss, and in the end, it is the player's own sacrifice that brings light back into the world.

Theme

Futurism

The game is set in the year 3671. Humanity has long since stepped beyond the boundaries of the solar system, enduring countless shifts in systems and history. Today, humankind commands technologies once thought confined to myth—planetary annihilation, Ringworld construction, faster-than-light travel—and has carved out a realm of its own in a corner of the galaxy. In their pursuit of truth and immortality through technology, humans have evolved from the gene-ascension programs of the Dark Empires to the data-based transcendence led by the Blue Veilers. What once existed only in science fiction has become a historical reality.

Stellar Exploration

The vastness of the universe cannot be measured by human scale. Countless races, cultures, and civilizations await discovery beyond known space. These wondrous phenomena far outshine the tiresome political games and psychological power plays of human territories. The pursuit of the stars may come at great cost, but the chance to escape rigid societies and satisfy one’s innate curiosity is worth it. This drive to explore has become one of humanity’s greatest motivations.

Cyberism

In human society, no matter how advanced the technology or how profound the era’s transformation, class conflict endures. The elite use wealth and innovation to forge grand wonders across the galaxy—yet these marvels are built on the bodies and blood of those left in the shadows. Some seek escape through digital utopias, sealing their identities inside artificial Edens built by modern technology. Others, however, become flames of resistance—fighting back against the world for themselves, for the forgotten, and for the ideals they refuse to surrender.
