[00:00:00] “Okay. All right. Hello and welcome. This is going to be the first episode in our video series: What the World is Doing With Dai. I'm joined by the awesome crew from CurioInvest, and we are going to be going over some neat projects they're doing as well as how Dai is factoring into their platform.

[00:00:32] I don't want to spoil too much of that in my intro here, but, just as some housekeeping, we are going to ask you, if you do have questions, either raise your hand or type them in the sidebar and I can speak them out if you don't want to.

[00:00:49] if you're not asking a question though, and you're just participating, we will ask that you keep your video off just for recording purposes. And I think that pretty much does it, don't be [00:01:00] shy. I've got a few questions, but my questions are no better than yours. So if you do think of something, feel free.

[00:01:05] Drop it in the chat or raise your hand and I can, bring you on to ask yourself. So yeah, I guess the most natural place to start is to kick it over to the CurioInvest team. And, maybe have you guys give a brief introduction, tell us. Who you are and what you do for the platform? Right. So thank you very much spectrum for the invitation.

Fernando Verboonen

[00:01:26] Thank you very much to the MakerDAO community. We're very pleased to introduce our product to your ecosystem. Personally, I believe we're all fans of the Dai ecosystem. We've also been holders of that for quite some time. So to be here, it's also an honor, I'm Fernando co-founder of CurioInvest, a platform that tokenizes real-world assets (RWA).

[00:01:52] You probably heard about tangible, real-world collectibles, such as rare cars [00:02:00] or fine art; thanks to our regulatory framework and our platform, we can now tokenize assets, turn them into tokens that investors can use to diversify. Today with me, we'd have other team members and co-funders joining us.

Valerie Halter

[00:02:19] Yes. Hi everyone. I'm Valerie. I'm also one of the co-founders of CurioInvestt. I have a background in banking and collectibles as an alternative investment for high net worth individuals and about two and a half years ago, I met Fernando and yeah, that's actually when that idea popped up and we started CurioInvest.

[00:02:39] So it's great to be here. Thank you.

Vladimir Kislinskii

[00:02:46] Hi. So, I'm the CTO and co-founder of CurioInvest. My background includes studies in German, in Berlin, in Ghana, in Syria. And I was born [00:03:00] in Denny bread. And now for the last three plus years, I’ve been working with Fernando on CurioInvest.

Payton Rose

[00:03:18] Thanks so much for joining us and, yeah, really excited to have you here. Going to kind of start us at the high level and get a little more granular as we go on. for anyone who hasn't had the pleasure of kind of hearing about you interacting with your platform.

[00:03:46] Do you have a, maybe like a micro elevator pitch for what you guys do and how, how you're able to do it?

Fernando Verboonen

Right. So, for anyone who's not familiar with collectible. [00:04:00] Don't worry, you will learn after this AMA a bit more about them. But if there's one thing that you're probably missing out on.  You should probably know that you're missing out on some nice returns.

[00:04:12] When you look at collectibles, you see, they share some of the features that crypto also share in the sense that they are scarce. So basically when you see it, let's say a fine art or a red car, you're looking at a limited series of a very rare collectible car that was driven out of a specific race, driven by a specific driver and so on.

[00:04:38] And therefore the price might have changed. from what it initially costs to several million dollars for a single car. There are even cars that cost $80 million. So what's happened in the past is that they're very few of course. You may have collected some of these assets, pretty much enjoying [00:05:00] that features that they shared.
