Positions in retail (tellers, sales associates, and branch managers) are a great point of entry to the banking industry. Because of our focus on developing people and hiring from within, we are always recruiting to fill these positions. In fact, it represents half of our recruitment efforts.
We’ve centralized and streamlined our approach to helping people get their banking careers started with us. We’ve put a lot of effort into making it easy and enjoyable for you.
Within that same day (or the next at the latest), we reach out via phone call, email and text.
We have found that text is the best option for reaching people. However, some candidates get a bit leery and wonder if the message is fraud. Rest assured, it’s just us staying up to date on the most convenient ways people communicate! Our individual branches don’t handle hiring, so calling them can lead to more confusion. If you have submitted an application to us, you can be confident in replying to that text message to take the next step of scheduling your video interview.
Our first meeting to make sure we’re a fit for you is done over video. We know that looking for a job is hectic, and we value your time. During the interview, we’ll get to know you a little better and ask you about your experience and career goals. We realize that people come from all walks of life and love the diversity of people who apply. Interview questions
On our end, we’re looking for someone we like, who shares the right competencies and experiences, and who checks all the requirements for the position. At that point, if you think starting a career with us sounds appealing, we proceed to the credit and background check.
As a financial institution, credit and background checks are part of the requirements for employment.
Many people are skeptical about the credit check because they think we are looking for their credit score. This is not the case. We want to make sure they do not have charge-off accounts in excess. When working in a financial institution, managing your finances is very important because you have access to many people’s finances, not just your own.
If the credit and background check goes well, then the next step is the job offer
Within three days of a successful interview, we call you with a job offer. On this call, we review the requirements of the job and make sure you’re in agreement with the job expectations. If you accept verbally, we confirm your start date and send you an electronic offer to sign. You will then receive an email that welcomes you to our family and tells you everything you need to know to show up for your first day of work.
And then the candidate accepts we do our internal thing to send them their electronic offer they give us when they're able to start and let's say they're starting on Monday by today right now all my recruiters are sending out the onboarding emails. Like Welcome to the family. This is where you're going to be going to this is the address this is the time you need to be there. This is the person you need to ask for. That will welcome you to our team and sign you up for our virtual training. This is the attire you need and this is what your look your week looks like. You will be primarily in training and so this is your training schedule for the week.
