This is a beginner-friendly guide on how to install TizenBrew on a Samsung TV.

I’m writing it because if you are not used to this kind of setup, it can be confusing. More clear steps usually mean fewer mistakes.

What is TizenBrew?

TizenBrew lets you install and use community apps and “modded” web apps on Tizen TVs (for example TizenTube), and it can help you install newer apps without having to work with Tizen Studio every time.

Which devices are supported?

You need a Samsung TV running Tizen 3.0 or newer (2017 models or newer).

Method used in this guide

The official guide has multiple installation methods. In this page I explain the method I personally use:

Requirements

• Node.js installed on your PC: Download Node.js
• A Windows, macOS, or Linux computer connected to the same network as your TV

Installation (Step-by-step)

1. Install Node.js on your PC
   • Download it from: https://nodejs.org/en/download
   • Install it with the default options.
