When Creating Passwords…

✅DO:

• Create complex passwords with a mix of uppercase (A-Z) and lowercase (a-z) letters, numbers (0-9), and symbols (!@#$%^&*).
• Use a different password for each account.
• Enable MFA, or Multi Factor Authentication, whenever possible for an extra layer of security. This will request a second verification method in order to log into an account.
• Make the password long or use short phrases like “people are good”
  • GOOD Example “Peop1eRgood!”
• At least 12–16 characters long
• Does not use personal info (like your name, birthdate, or pet's name)
• Not a common word or phrase (like "password123" or "qwerty")

🚫DO NOT:

• Avoid common words like “password” or “123456.”
• Don’t include personal information like your address or name.
• Don’t use the same password on multiple accounts and websites.
• Don’t share your password with others.
• Don’t store your passwords somewhere easily accessible (like on a sticky note right next to your computer)
• POOR Example “johndoe123”

📌Password Saving Options:

• If you are logged in to your google account on your device, it will give you the option to securely save your passwords
• Some websites will off to auto populate complex and secure passwords for you, that you can use your google account to save.
