Paid Time Off

Company Holidays

Proactive Talent offers unlimited personal time off (PTO) to all full-time employees. Employees are encouraged to enjoy time away with their loved ones to rest and rejuvenate themselves as needed.

Time off requests must be tracked in our human resources information system (HRIS), BambooHR, and approved by your manager. We ask that you check with your manager before planning any extended absence to ensure there is appropriate coverage while you are away. We ask that you submit your time off requests 1-2 weeks before your scheduled absence.

If you need to take bereavement leave during your time with us, please submit a PTO request stating “bereavement” as the reason. These requests will be tracked and processed, but this time for mourning will not be denied.

Remember to set your out of office reminder in Gmail, and change your Slack status ahead of your time off to remind the team that you are away.

Proactive Talent's office is closed during the following holidays:

Sick Leave

Proactive Talent also offers unlimited sick leave to all full-time employees to be used as needed. You can take sick leave to recover from short-term illnesses, injuries, medical appointments, and other indispositions. If you are not feeling well, please take as much sick time as you need to recover and avoid spreading the flu or virus to your colleagues.

If you become sick, please inform your manager and send a sick leave request through BambooHR when you’re able. You may be asked to submit a scanned copy of a physician’s note if you are sick for more than three days.

Parental Leave

Proactive Talent offers up to twelve weeks of paid parental leave to all full-time employees to help support mothers, fathers, and partners welcome their newborn(s) or adopted child(ren) into their family. Our parental leave policy is flexible and may be split up by the new parent(s) as desired within the first year of the child’s life with at least six consecutive weeks dedicated to postpartum recovery.

If you are going to become a new parent, please speak to your Principal/Manager and submit your parental leave request through BambooHR at least three months prior to your scheduled leave.

Jury Duty

If you are a full-time employee that is called to jury duty, please speak to your manager and submit a jury duty leave request in BambooHR at least one week before your summons date to receive the paid time off. If you are required to stay on as a juror for the trial, please submit subsequent time-off requests as soon as possible.

Please scan and submit a copy of your jury summons and proof that you served to a member of our Human Resources team after your summons to keep a record of your service.
