<aside> 💡 Users can contribute information to SpotAngels in 2 ways: editing rules and adding pictures. We ask users to add pictures of parking signs as a way to verify the rules or add pictures of the spots to add missing ones. The more pictures we have the more trust we build in the product and the data. We included QA (quality assurance) in the editor. Map makers can Qa the edits of new coming map makers.

There are various types of tickets

Spots Edited - Changeset tickets

We check the rules added and we compare them to the images we have. We can approve or reject the edit. In case it was rejected, write a comment explaining why did you reject it and what should be done instead, this will send an email to the user who make the edit. After that, we edit the segment if necessary.

Marked as inaccurate

Just check the street view images and the rules you see. If correct, mark as accurate. If not, change it to what you see.

QA tickets

These are Spot Edited tickets that have been processed by map-makers.

The logic behind those tickets is: An angel makes an edit, the maker sees their edits in the ticket, then either approve or reject it, the validator will see the same ticket with the edits of the angel. The validator will approve or reject the edits of the angel that are in the ticket sheet, not the spot sheet. The action of the maker and the validator are compared in the backend, when they're different, the maker gets a penalty.

Untitled

Validators should approve or reject what's in the ticket (at the right), not the spot sheet.

Parking Pictures

[Only admins and ambassadors]

We first need to see if the picture is legit ie if it is a picture of the street, a parking sign, or parking rates.
