New validation/verification bodies (VVBs) may be located anywhere in the world and must demonstrate the following:

1. Accreditation to one of the following standard
   1. ISO 14065 accreditation
   2. ISO 14044 accreditation
   3. Association Bilan Carbone license
   4. GHG Protocol license
2. Proof of experience in environmental auditing and/or carbon credits markets
3. If relevant, provide proof of specific knowledge in one of the following field:
   1. Bioenergies / BECCS
   2. Biosourced materials
   3. Biochemistry
   4. Reconditioning & recycling
   5. Carbon capture and storage

To complete VVB Accreditation process, VVBs must follow these steps:

• Fill Riverse VVB Application form
• Sign “Riverse - VVB Agreement”
• Receive Riverse accreditation validation

Once done, VVB are registered on Riverse VVB accredited page and can start validate projects.
