The wedding weekend itself will be quite packed, so you won't have time to do other things around. But, if you can, you should extend your trip to take advantage of everything Montana has to offer! We will be doing just that. Here are some ideas for seeding your destination vacation.
Glacier National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It has over 1 million acres and 700 miles of trails. It’s glacier-carved peaks and valleys are accessible for any activity level, from driving Going-to-the-Sun Road to hiking the Highline Trail. Only 45 minutes from Flathead Lake Lodge and 30 minutes from Kalispell, you should make sure to spend some time at one of our best national parks.
There’s lots of white water rafting all around! We will definitely be planning on doing this before the wedding, so if you’d be interested in doing this with us stay tuned!
90 minutes south of Flathead Lake, the National Bison Range is one of the oldest national wildlife refuges in the US. There’s lots of wildlife, including bison, elk, deer, antelopes and black bears, as well as more than 200 species of birds
5 minutes from Flathead Lake Lodge, Bigfork itself is pretty cute. It has a quaint little downtown along it’s main street, with art galleries, restaurants, watering holes and unique shops.
Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. There’s lots to do on the lake — fly-fishing, boat cruises, camping, and museums.
