🌟 What to Pack & Weather Tips
- You don’t need that insanely long winter jacket that makes you look like you’re headed to the North Pole. Snow doesn’t last long. One warm, mid-length coat is enough.
- Bring summer clothes! you can use them as going out tops or if your staying until may you will need summer clothes .
- If youre going from August till december , make sure to get warm winter clothes cause it really gets cold here!
- You’ll still need jackets in summer, so bring a light one too.
- Weather apps lie. It can change five times a day. Always carry a small umbrella or waterproof jacket.
🚲 Getting Around
- Get a bike. Don’t be like me! Renting costs about 16,90 € per month.
- Navigo path costs 88,88 euros per month : acess to bus, tramway,RER and metro.
- Walk, walk, walk — it’s the best way to explore.
- Public transport is great but never ride without a ticket. Fines are €120.
🛍️ Shopping & Budgeting
- Flea markets and secondhand shops are amazing and usually happen every Sunday. Super fun!
- France especially paris is very expensive, so budget wisely.
- Student discounts are everywhere, but you have to ask and look for them yourself.
- You can find at each restaurent a student formula : where you get a sandwich , fries and drink for 8-9 euros.
- Food is expensive — learn to cook! Eating out drains your budget.
- Recycling is a big deal so learn to sort trash correctly. Return cans for cash back.
