The VN overlay appearance is fully customizable. You can pick from 6 built-in themes or configure every element individually through the Overlay Config Editor.
Select a theme in Module Settings under "Dialogue Theme". Each theme changes the dialogue box, nameplate, choice buttons, system bar, and advance cursor.
| Theme | Style |
|---|---|
| Default (Persona) | Dark angular panels with red accents. SVG-based buttons. |
| Elegant | Ornate borders with warm gold tones. |
| Indigo | Clean modern design with deep blue accents. |
| Detective | Dark noir style with muted tones. |
| Fantasy | Medieval-inspired panels with parchment textures. |
| Romance | Soft pastel colors with gentle gradients. |
| SF | Futuristic HUD-style panels with neon accents. |
Changing the theme immediately replaces all overlay assets, colors, and layout settings with the theme's defaults.
Open Module Settings and click the Open Settings button next to "Open Overlay Customize". The Overlay Config Editor opens.
This editor lets you customize every visual element of the VN overlay independently of the selected theme.

| Nameplate | The speaker name label above or beside the dialogue box |
