Theatre Works champions artists and work that embraces difference and celebrates risk, working to provide a supportive public platform for marginalised conversations and voices. Led by an Executive Director/ Creative Producer, the TW team comprises Production, Marketing and Publicity, Artistic and Creative specialists. Theatre Works Board members are skilled across a relevant matrix of experience.
Theatre Works believes that Fringe provides a unique opportunity to stage works with an urgent voice.
Unlike many programming timelines that can take 12-36 months from application to presentation, Fringe allows works to transition from concept to presentation within a very short period. This enables artists to wrestle with the immediate and truly capture the zeitgeist.
One of the other most unique things about Fringe Festival programming is that it encourages the creation of works that can easily move onto the festival touring circuit—shows that can be set up and taken down quickly, or that engage with space and audience relationships in innovative ways.
