WRITER’S NOTE:
These short stories are written in unison between Tashi (@khian.bsky.social) & I. The style of writing is RP and sectioned as such. Cayto is written by Tashi, and Lohkri is written by me, Cillian.
About a few days after Lohkri and Cayto settle down a bit more in Lohkri’s one bedroom apartment, Cayto makes a trip to the Weaver’s guild in Ul’dah to hire someone to repair his mage gear from the chaos that ensued in the Kings Cave. Little did he know that the woman who he would employ is Lohkri’s mother, Mia.
After their meeting, Cayto asks about the rest of Lohkri’s family and parts of his troubled past get dug up in the process. The two of them have a lot to unpack.
Tashi: Cayto 💜
Cillian: Lohkri & Mia (Lohkri’s mom) 🧡

It’s been a couple of days now since Cayto was back in Ul’dah and had moved in to Lohkri’s apartment for the rest of his stay in the desert’s City. Sometimes it still felt surreal to wake up in his bed, often seeing the Seeker still asleep on the couch. They ate breakfast together, sometimes ate out for dinner. Each day he felt how thankful and happy the little viper was that the mage was still there. Stealing a kiss. Sneaking in for a hug when the Keeper sat at the desk. The more contact they had, the more natural it felt for Cayto to have someone this close to his heart and made it easier for him to actively claim a kiss or snuggle, too. It was a bit like re-learning a language he had once known but had never really tried to speak properly or improve on. Now, he gladly studied it every day.
Cayto had picked up the rest of his books and piled them in different corners of the small apartment as he had announced, and occupied the small desk in the bedroom to work on his last leads he had in Thanalan regarding the origin of that old magic he had discovered in Sharlayan’s forbidden archives. Thinking back to that day still made him a bit uncomfortable and angry with himself. It had brought him back down to earth and pulled him from his high horse quite forcefully, and while he was ashamed about his arrogance, he now, several years later, was sure that it was necessary and did him good. He was sure he wouldn’t be able to love Lohkri like he did now if he would still be this cocky mage from his early twenties.
That man was gone, and every day now he tried to make it better. To be better.
