🧭 In this guide for NonResistance, we’ll be exploring:

There are many spiritual teachers that have shared how the fear we feel can be used as the energy that it really is: pure emotion, or energy in motion.

We’ll be hearing a little from Eckhart Tolle, David Hawkins, Pema Chödrön, Michael Singer and John-Roger to support us in truly understanding how we might each gain our own greater experience of using fear and excitement for us, rather than against us.

Ok let’s dive in.

Allowing and NonResistance

Another way to relate to Allowing is NonResistance. Allowing is letting everything to be just as it is right now.

It is the complete void of any energy that would resist, close down, contract, or be in againstness in any way.

It’s our ego or small self that believes in resistance.

Spirit, our True self or Soul, only knows how to allow.

So any area of resistance, contraction, fear, doubt, or challenge is ego based.

🌸 **“When you accept it (fear) completely, that acceptance transmutes the energy into intense presence. And because there's enormous power that was in there trapped, it becomes fuel for your consciousness, for presence, for this present moment. This intense presence can be considered like a higher intelligence.

The ego believes that in your resistance lies your strength, whereas in truth resistance cuts you off from Being, the only place of true power. Resistance is weakness and fear masquerading as strength.**

What the ego sees as weakness is your Being in its purity, innocence, and power. What it sees as strength is weakness. So the ego exists in a continuous resistance-mode and plays counterfeit roles to cover up your “weakness,” which in truth is your power.”

ECKHART TOLLE

We’ve all heard so many times before – we are Soul. We are the invisible energy within.

We are NOT our thoughts, feelings and body.

But those are just lovely words, until we have our own experience of ‘being’, and of observing our thoughts and feelings.

The irony of all of this is that we have the opportunity to surrender our resistance to our feelings and thoughts. Not to unconsciously identify ourselves AS them. But to allow them to be as they are. To not judge them or label them. But to neutrally accept them – to even embrace and make friends with them just as they are.

When we learn how to do this effectively, we truly experience that it does not matter what our feelings and thoughts are doing or saying. They don’t actually mean anything about us. They are just here to be accepted and loved. And as we do this, as we accept and love all in this present moment, we become very real, authentic, we become who we are beyond the personality.

The ego’s job of course is to talk us out of letting go and trusting, accepting and loving all parts of ourselves and this moment. It tells us we’ll get hurt. We won’t be loved. We’re not enough and we’ll fail.

🌸 I love the way that Eckhart says it:

Only through the letting go of resistance, through becoming “vulnerable,” can you discover your true and essential invulnerability.
