In the summer of 2008, I was fourteen and my mom worked 60+ hours a week. I delivered the Columbia Daily Tribune for the last year before they established adulthood and a car as requirements for the position - my only “real†media industry job to date - and in retrospect, I wonder if it was my dramatic refusal to deliver any papers the day the wind scattered all of them across my yard (forcing my supervisor to return to gather and deliver them all, several hours late) that contributed to the decision. #software
